Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-office experience
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect necessary documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to coordinate patient care and referrals
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and requests with empathy and professionalism
- Process patient intake forms, consent documents, and billing information
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a patient coordinator, medical receptionist, or healthcare administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of insurance verification and basic medical billing processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare certification a plus
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
